Kelsay actually isn't that bad of a DE he just wasn't suitable at all as a LB in a 3-4 defense. This is where he's pretty decent, in all actuality he might benefit the most playing opposite of Mario Williams. I think instead of releasing him you go with the approach of restructuring first. I know a lot of people don't like him but this isn't the best time to release him. If he has a good year we might be able to trade him next year for a somewhat decent draft pick instead of getting absolutely nothing.

The Buffalo Bills getting a decent draft pick for anyone????? Wait I can't stop laughing. Now that was funny, did you ever consider doing stand up comedy?
We take 1st round draft choices and try to get 4th round picks for them. Usually they can't even get that and just realease the guys. The Buffalo Bills are a farm club for the rest of the NFL. Lee Evan, Marshall Lynch, Willis McGahee, LB Maybin! ALL NUMBER 1s, What did we get for them???????????????????????

Keep Kelsay and let Dwan Edwards go, the move saves about $4 million in cap space. If they need 9 DL, the group could be:
DE: M. Williams, Kelsay, Carrington,
DT: K. Williams, Dareus, Troup, Heard
DE/DT: S. Johnson
Consider Merriman a LB or DE? How about Arthur Moats?
Get rid of Dwan and Kelsey. Take the money you save from them two clowns and the money from Roscoe Parish and sign the best OFFENSIVE TACKLE available. That way you don't have to waste your number one draft pick on an offensive tackle.
