He probably thought it was healing and then when he was in for the Offseason Workouts, the team Dr's and Stevie determined that it was not healing as they had hoped when last season ended.  I am more than ok with him getting this done now and not 2 months ago and not 2 months from now.

I'd be concerned if it was August, but having this done in late April is a-ok.  Two and a half months to recuperate before training camp, and it's not as if Stevie needs to learn the playbook.
