Per Vtext: The Bills signed first-round draft selection (16th overall) QB EJ Manuel. All 8 Bills draft picks are now signed.

So he was at all the workouts without his contract signed?  Is that normal for rookies?

Now all they need to do is get Byrd caged up for the next five years.  Of course if Williams can play FS maybe they trade him for an awesome LB.  Hope Manuel really challenges for starting spkt.

I love this new rookie wage scale.  There are no holdouts, no disputes, and no BS to start a young man's career.  I like it.

Yes...rookies are free to attend OTAs and minicamp without a contract...training camp is another issue.

It was a long time coming and I'm glad it is here.

Now that everyone has been signed, it will be interesting in the next 30 days to see if we hear any reports on negotiations with Byrd.

One could think that maybe the Bills wanted to get the entire draft class signed before extending Byrd.

Yes, they usually have insurance contracts that cover them for what their contract was worth (estimated) if they get injured.

I am curious as to the terms. I know that the Bills don't officially release those as a matter of policy. It will get out though.
