Someone posted this in the Shoutbox not long ago, my guess then was Victor Allotey, but I'm not certain.

He is wearing a Bills shirt with #22.  That should help us find out who it is.

Possibilities:

Daryl Porter - DB, from Fort Lauderdale, FL, played some games for us in 2000

Quite an amazing story.

http://en.wikipedia....ki/Daryl_Porter

Quote

Although predominantly known for his career as an athlete for the NFL and his dedication to local High School Athletics, D.P. recently eliminated an interesting threat to the City of Fort Lauderdale. Since February 2011, a giant Great White Shark has pestered the area immediately outside of the Port Everglades inlet. Daryl Porter, being an accomplished fisherman and diver, set out to capture or contain this beast. From March 2011 to July 2011 D.P. was a regular sight hunting this great White Shark from Barracuda Reef south of the inlet to the Shoals North of the inlet. On July 23, 2011 8:23 PM, D.P. declared "Fish On" to his boatmate, Oronde Gadsden. D.P. fought the fish for 2 hours until the shark sought refuge in the bottom of Barracuda Reef. At this point, D.P. donned his diving gear and proceeded to hunt the shark underwater. After 30 minutes of downtime, D.P. pushed the dead shark to the surface where Mr. Gadsden hauled it aboard. This was the end of the "Port Everglades Great White".

Jonathan Linton wore #35.

Got it guys.  Think it is Darick Holmes!

OK, I'm wrong.  He wore a different number as well.  Try Daryl Porter.

Whoever it was stated they are on the Practice Squad.

See above for Daryl Porter.  I have found rosters for the 98, 99, 2000 season, but have not found a list for PS.

Porter has info above in my previous post.  The guy is too small for an OL/DL.  Thought DB, LB or RB by the look of him.

Ok, I gave up.  The comments section of that thread was way better then looking for the Bill.

Porter played in too many games, 16 in two seasons and a handful of others in his other year with the Bills.  That means he wasn't on the PS.

jeremy mcdaniels and linton were not on the practice squad enough to really count.  both tallied stats in those seasons.  the only player from the 1998 draft that was here until 2000 was Allotey, and that's not Allotey.

This was likely an UDFA who only spent three seasons on the PS.

So that begs a question if you know the answer to it.  Why would a practice squad player be wearing the same number as an active player on the roster?  That doesn't make sense to me.  I know players on the active roster can't "share" a number, so wouldn't think that would be the case with practice squad either.

Hard to say unless someone has a media guide with lists of practice squad players but then again the practice squad is so fluid there's no telling who it is.  Yet the only thing I could find remotely was close was http://www.billsdail...fice/1999.shtml and it mentions a guy named Jerry Ross quitting on the team but that was in 1999 so if he was still with us in 2000 that doesn't add up.

I just saw this. I think it is Pooh Bear Williams. Wiki page states he was last coaching at Crescent City HS, north of Orlando.

He wore 22 at FSU.

That would be correct.  For whatever reason I somewhat remembered that there was a guy like that but couldn't find much of a record for him.  I do believe we have a match.

In the 90's I really got to know the players because the only way to know the scores was watching the CNN scroll or slow internet connections when I was allowed on the computer.  When on the computer I would research the players thoroughly to find what they were good at and I remember really being intrigued by a 260+ lbs. It wasn't Jerry Ross, I remember him.
