Hmm, I think I need to actually read that thread.

Me too.  I had no idea it was Erik Pears.

this drives me crazy too. I am also always telling people "sorry," even if they bump into me.

I say "SORRY!!!" which means "You're an inconsiderate ass"

People who quote people who haven't learned the quoting function on the new board because those people are reading quotes from Eric Pears.

Seriously, my wife and I say this all the time when we are out shopping or out to eat. If we are walking together and another group of people (especially younger adults - under 45) walk toward us, my wife and I ALWAYS move out of the way. Just once I'd like to keep walking and see if others move out of our way. I guess we are too nice but it boils my blood that others are so caught up in their own little world that they can't comprehend that others are walking toward them.

Just do what I did - shave your head. The effect it has on people in the grocery store is remarkable. They practically leap out of my way now.

My biggest pet peeve is standing in line at the checkout behind some fat lady with her eleven fat kids as she unloads a shopping cart piled high with frozen pizzas, sodas, etc and paying for it with her Lone Star card (the Texas version of food stamps), all the while pretending she didn't know it's an express lane because she doesn't speak English and can't read the sign.

Haha; that runs much deeper than a mere pet peeve. Did I tell you I did get a "0.0" bumper magnet?

No.  You hadn't told me.  That's good stuff though.  In fact, it's hilarious.  If I see a car swerve at me while I'm running...and I see that magnet...I'll know where to start the search.

With you pulling the 0.0 sticker out, I may have to actually get a 26.2 sticker for my car.  You know...just to preserve the balance of the cosmos.

You know it's all in good fun. I have a lot of respect for marathoners, like you; I just don't understand why some have to brag and have multiple "13.1" stickers on their cars.

I'm in x-ray school. My biggest pet peeve is when someone doesn't know the answer to a question...they nervously laugh...

Something like this...Teacher - "Mike, where do we center the CR for an AP axial projection of the skull?"

                                 Mike - "Ummmm, I don't know... hahahaha"

I know it's a nervous reaction but c'mon!

I have a pet peeve about mods who can't even properly perform their thread closing duties.

And people who steal Werther's Originals.

Nice.  I hope you have a "hot key" for this one.   I think it'll be frequently used.

Hey, that's your fault for not knowing where I am going.
