http://www.gopusa.co...90?omhide=true ,  Seriously, why would anyone honor this wayward kid? An honorary degree in aviation? Is that because he was always flying high? It certainly couldn't be because of his prowess at bashing peoples heads in against the sidewalk. One might think that an honorary degree would be bestowed upon someone that you might want your children to emulate. What a !@#$ed up society we live in.

"A university will award Trayvon Martin a posthumous Bachelor of Science Degree in aviation five years after the black teenager was fatally shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer in a central Florida neighborhood.

An announcement on Florida Memorial University’s official Facebook page says Martin’s parents, Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, will accept the degree during a May 13 commencement ceremony. Fulton graduated from the Miami Gardens university and, along with Tracy Martin, co-founded the Trayvon Martin Foundation.

The university’s statement says it will honor the steps Martin, who was 17 when he died in 2012, "

What's the point of the thread? Are we suppose to be angry at society? Or is it Obama or pot smokers?

Hey, if that's what the libs want to spend money and time on, go for it...

Keeps them out of important decisions.

Oh yeah, the voters already did that...  :D

Getting shot in a fistfight seems an odd thing to be honored for.

You're like a liberal looking for things to be angry about.

Did you see the way Trump walked ahead of Ivanka at the White House?

You don't think this is odd behavior? What about that biker killed in a barroom brawl who like to play with his chemistry set when he was young. Why doesn't he get an honorary degree in chemistry? What is the point of this?

That it is dumb is not my point.

Seeking out the dumb story to find outrage is a tactic the liberals used to dominate. Republicans want equal time I guess.

The point is that school is using Martin for free publicity, in order to increase enrollment/donations and make more money. He's a high-profile sob story that they can exploit.

That's the whole thing about politics.  You use it as a marketing ploy you lose 50% of your potential audience.

On the other hand, there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Maybe someone did and we just don't know about it. The outrage that a black kid was awarded this seems to have made it gain traction on the net. People just need to let this go. So. What?

This has nothing to do with race but everything to do with honoring a thug who got killed while he was doing thuggish things. Why do you liberal, progressive snowflakes always try to bring race into the equation?

Thug? I saw a kid that was being followed by a bigger guy with a gun who is need up shooting him. But whatever. People can honor who ever they want.

And take down racists monuments if they want, too. Protests in NOLA to try and keep traitors monuments up

Guys, look. Don't let this distract you that if you or a family member has been impacted by a hernia mesh implant you may be able to recover financially. Hernia mesh implants have been used many times and impacted our loved ones!

You obviously don't know what transpired that night. Also, you should learn to put a sentence together that makes sense, even if your thoughts don't.

The only one doing "thuggish things" that night was George. If he had followed the 911 operators instructions and stayed in his car then none of this would have happened.
