With his reality star wife we'd likely only be a last resort.

@AdamSchefter

Just because Baltimore landed Jeremy Maclin doesn't mean it won't also make play for Jets WR Eric Decker. Ravens in running there, too.

I would welcome Decker if he gets cut...would be an awful trade though because of his contract.

I've thought from the beginning that they'll figure out a way to get both.  The Ravens are a pro organization.

we're not giving the Jets a draft pick AND taking on $15m over 2 years for Decker.  If he gets cut, there's no way he signs in Buffalo, as there will be many suitors.  Hate it or not, the WRs we have on the roster now are what we're going into the season with.

Highly doubt he comes to Buffalo.

Decker would not come to Buffalo, end of discussion. The tank is in full effect now.

Also, per Josina Anderson:

"I'm trying told WR Jeremy Maclin's decision actually came down b/w the #Ravens and the #Eagles, not the #Bills. Baltimore won."

Bills were never in any sort of discussions. Interesting.

If there were no questions about Sammy staying healthy, this group as is would look pretty promising.  So I don't think we are desperate by any means at WR.  I think we are vulnerable due to the inability for Sammy to be healthy the last 2 seasons consistently, but if he is finally truly past that then I think we are in better shape than most think.

I thought they barely had any cap room?

In Baltimore a 2-year playoff drought is an eternity.  They are pulling out all the stops to get back in.

are we comfortable with Sammy, Zay, Holmes going into the season?  Sammy still not full participant at practice, Zay unproven, Holmes a career backup.  makes me nervous

Exactly, how I feel.

If there is a guarantee that Sammy can stay on the field and be effective, then, I am content with our group.

If not we'll see again how no one else on the field can stretch it like Sammy can.
